Coca-Cola has decided to bring back a drink that was very popular
over 40 years ago. But they decided to bring it back as Tab energy
drink. It comes in a cute, pink 10 ounce can. This drink has been
marketed toward women because it has only 5 calories per serving. It
is great for women who are trying to stay in shape and keep their
energy levels up. It claims to boost energy levels for women with
hectic lifestyles.
The taste is pretty unique for an energy drink. It has a
watermelon, tart taste like to it like a sweet and sour candy, but the
aftertaste is a little much on the taste buds. It is still not as bad
as some of the other energy drinks out there.
As far as ingredients it is comparable to some of the other energy
drinks. It contains 785mg of Taurine and 90 mg of caffeine. There is
not a lot of Niacin or Vitamin B in Tab. Nutritionally there is a lot
missing from this energy drink. Without vitamins and minerals this
drink is basically all sugar and caffeine.
This energy drink is nothing like the soda of the same name. A lot
of people will have fond memories when they see the can and packaging
for this energy drink but this is nothing like the original.
Some men and even some women may see this product as being sexist
because of the marketing towards women. The claim is that women have
different energy needs than men. Energy is energy and the need is no
different for men or women.
Women who actually remember when Tab was a soda will probably not
have much interest in it being an energy drink. Women who actually
consume energy drinks will probably not be old enough to remember when
Tab was the "it" drink.
Tab is a drink that may last for a while. It will probably not have
the same popularity as the original soda and many people will not buy
it more than once. Despite the pleasing taste it will probably be a
short lived energy drink
.
